I boarded the NCL Breakaway here. The boarding process went pretty smooth. They used facial recognition when we disembarked. Disembarking is always a terrible process. But, with the facial recognition, we didn’t have that extra step of going through the customs line. That did save some time.

As a longtime Miami resident, I can say, without a doubt, that this port has vastly improved since they put the tunnel in to the mainland. It is much easier to get in and out of than it used to be and Royal Caribbean and Norwegian are building brand new terminals which should improve things even more! 😊👍

I have been here twice now and have 1 complaint. The last cruise ship I got on luckily had its own terminal so it was a breeze getting on and off. I received my suitcase back with a perfect razor cut slit in it. I really don’t know if it was the cruise line or the terminal but that’s my only complaint. It’s actually stunning in Miami

Very busy port, but was well managed. Accommodations were good, but nothing to write home about. Parked the whole week for a 7 day cruise in one of their garages. No dents and no tickets! Felt safe with no surprises.

Yes it was busy and at times chaotic, but overall a great port to leave from. When we got back our ship of 2500 passengers were pretty much out of the terminal area in an hour or less. A pretty remarkable feat, and why I cruise from Miami.

I’ve been to 3 of Carnival’s ports. This one is probably the most beautiful of the 3. The beautiful homes, the yachts, the surrounding sites for tourist were all great. It was also one of the easiest and smoothest to navigate. The staff was friendly as usual. The weather there was AMAZING, even for February.

Fairly easy to navigate through the Port Terminal without too much waiting, very impressed with the time it took to board our cruise ship. Staff could have been a bit more friendly. Hard to get anyone to crack a smile. Getting off the ship 5 days later was also easy without any delays.

No other way to get on a ship in Miami unless you’re going to the Port of Miami. be advised it’s one of the busiest ports in the southern area. Best to Park off site unless you don’t mind the 22 dollar fee.

Check in great consideration the craziness of checking in an entire ship full of people. Plenty of parking but I would give the actual port staff s 1-Star rating for vulgar language and treatment of people and their coworkers. The Port Police were actually some of the nicest people in the Known World. Security check in was a breeze.

The place is a maze that takes you in circles. Set up a GPS or else once you enter the port you might necer get out. Also, there is an unwritten rule that you won’t see anywhere but you will be told. NO BAGS IN THE RESTROOMS, get a buddy to watch your stuff while you do your “business”.

We were boarding MSC Seaside in Yacht Club. The separate drive up boarding was fast to access and convenient. Sadly, while having a “Butler” take you on the ship is s fabulous idea (and cool when it happens) not having anywhere to sit while you wait in the sun is a major oversight.

The staff that works there is a bit confused as to what buildings house what. Parking is self pay with little lighting. Not a huge fan of the parking or the area overall…feels unsafe. There are armed guards during the day…but their machine guns look like toys.

This port was a little disorganized during my brief experience here – at least the section dedicated to boarding the Carnival Cruises. The lines got all mixed up, and there were very few signs telling you where to go next. Customs were also slow. However, the employees are very friendly and helpful!

Access to the cruise ship terminals is really easy using exit three from I-95 and using the tunnel. There is no security and ID check.point like there is at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

A bit confusing trying to determine which cruise terminal you want. There are signs as you approach that direct you by ship name. Why can’t they have website with departures like airport. Also why don’t they have the terminals clearly marked? Makes it hard to tell where you are for Uber.
