As we prepared for our trip to Key West we thought it might be a good idea to call and confirm the reservation we had made 6 months prior to our trip. To our surprise, we were not found anywhere in their system. Our plans were made through Delta vacations so after several hours on the phone with Delta Vacations, we suddenly had a room. Still unsure of where the disconnect was but so glad we checked . Once arriving at the resort all went well. Our room was newly renovated, I believe we were the first to stay in the room post renovation. There were some minor issues which the maintenance department promptly took care of. (Refrigerator didn’t work) Although there are lots of renovation happening, we were able to enjoy the pool and pool bar as well as the cafe adjacent to the property. We also rented bikes from the concierge and rode every day. I strongly recommend a trip to the Zachary Taylor State Park. The beach there is absolutely beautiful. Our room was a partial ocean view which was definitely worth the extra cost. A rep from the front desk texted every day to check on how things were going. I would definitely stay here again!

This was our first time to visit/stay at the Southernmost Beach Resort in Key West. The room location and view was beautiful, staff were excellent and very helpful, the location is great, beach is breathtaking. Nothing negative at this resort.

While the Southernmost is a nice hotel (even thought they call it a resort) it certainly wasn’t the best. The staff was friendly enough and helpful and I’m not saying I hated the place, I just think they are way over priced. Room rates are high and then they charge $10.00 for a 20 ounce draft beer. They call it a beach resort and when you arrive you learn there are 2 beaches. One public and one private. The private beach apparently so private they keep it closed for parties so the guest of the hotel can’t use it. The public beach was OK, but nothing to speak of. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pineapple Pool and Bar and I am hear to tell you that Gil was an amazing bartender. I missed him on his days off. When I departed, I received my folio and left because I had to drive to Ft. Lauderdale to catch my plane. I didn’t look closely at the bill until I was home. I then realized they charged me an extra $176 & change per day plus taxes for a room charge and they over charged me by $20.00 per day for resort fees. I had paid for the room in full in April 2021. After 2 phones calls I was able to rectify the situation and the front desk manager was very helpful. Again, a nice place but next time in Key West, I’ll be looking for another place to stay.

Our recent stay at Southernmost was excellent! The room was clean and well appointed. The staff were helpful and kind! The location was just right, as we were close enough to the action of Duval St., but not overwhelmed by it. We will definitely return to Southernmost!

WOW was this a great stay, I’m a crazy review reader, I had read some reviews about SM and they kinda sucked so I got a little worried but then I remembered that mostly people only give a review if they had a bad time (you know the type that are never happy they are here in the reviews) we had a group of 10 people and our standards are a little higher than most, I am never blow away by much….our check in for 5 different groups mid day on a Friday (OCT 8th 2021) was less than 30 minutes,I was checked in by MARICO (he deserves a medal for kindness, speed, and really knowing his job) He was amazing even when seeing him not behind the desk and out and about on the property. Such a KIND man, my dream would be him behind every desk I visit 10/10.
Some reviews I read talked about the areas not being clean, I have never seen such a clean place, the paint was perfect in every corner of the bathroom, the shower we had was very clean and could fit 4 people in the shower alone. The size of the bathroom was stunning and very modern. I could go on for days about how clean and fresh everything was, the bath towels are THICK cotton that smell clean, this property was HUGE. We stayed in building B with partial ocean view, it had a huge balcony with clean and comfy chairs. The pools are very clean, the bar hosts where are real nice, the workers on site always saying hello even tho they are busting ass in 85 degree weather.
The food at this place (I swear I am very picky, I don’t like much, hard to please me) was outstanding, I live in Chicago we have some of the best food on the planet, I travel and eat, this is one of very few hotels that had really great food, not just one day but all 3 days, we did all dinners off property, its party time but did breakfast and lunch there because it was so damn good.
I’m sure I left some of the good out, like how great of a location and on the beach but not one complaint about anything, I was able to walk on the beach at 2-3am without being bothered by personal because I was having fun. I was not loud and being respectful….
I will be back, top 10 vacation and I have been all over the world, 3rd time in FL this year actually…our ages, between 40 and 50 and all 10 of off would say the same thing, wonderful time, thank you SM for having us

The pools are very clean, the bar hosts where are real nice, the workers on site always saying hello even tho they are busting ass in 85 degree weather.
The food at this place (I swear I am very picky, I don’t like much, hard to please me) was outstanding, I live in Chicago we have some of the best food on the planet, I travel and eat, this is one of very few hotels that had really great food, not just one day but all 3 days, we did all dinners off property, its party time but did breakfast and lunch there because it was so damn good.
I’m sure I left some of the good out, like how great of a location and on the beach but not one complaint about anything, I was able to walk on the beach at 2-3am without being bothered by personal because I was having fun. I was not loud and being respectful….
I will be back, top 10 vacation and I have been all over the world, 3rd time in FL this year actually…our ages, between 40 and 50 and all 10 of off would say the same thing, wonderful time, thank you SM for having us
